BUFADESO (Bunda Farmers’ Development Support Organization) is a non-governmental organization with Reg # 00NGO/00010200, based in Bunda District, Mara Region, Tanzania, committed to empowering smallholder farmers, pastoralists, and fishing communities. Since its establishment in 2012, BUFADESO has been driving sustainable agricultural development through capacity building, inclusive seed delivery, market linkages, and community empowerment initiatives.

BUFADESO works with diverse community groups to promote inclusive and sustainable development. Our programs are designed to support individuals and groups who play a key role in agricultural production and rural livelihoods.

Smallholder Farmers

Our primary beneficiaries are smallholder farmers, both individuals and organized groups. These farmers are engaged in a variety of activities that contribute to household income and community development,

Special Groups

BUFADESO also prioritizes support for vulnerable and special groups within the community to ensure inclusive development. These include: Women groups – empowering women through economic activities and leadership opportunities Youth groups – promoting entrepreneurship and employment opportunities for young people School children – engaging students in environmental conservation and agricultural education People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) – supporting their participation in income-generating and community activities By working with these groups, BUFADESO promotes equal participation, social inclusion, and community resilience.
